Six Senses five star hotels, resorts and spas are based across the globe. The brand is synonymous with a unique luxury experience that is authentic, personal and sustainable. In 2013 under new management, Six Senses developed a fresh corporate identity. The aim was to promote sustainability and maintain the ecology and biodiversity in the host region. The company focused on establishing consistently high standards across its business while creating partnerships with companies that share their values. This means it was important for Six Senses to have sustainable uniforms. In addition the uniforms had to fit in with the brand identity as well as the diversity of the organisation. Six Senses chose Fashionizer because of its experience and expertise in the spa uniform marketplace and its proven track record in the development of organic and natural fibre uniforms.
When Six Senses first approached Fashionizer, we had designed and supplied uniforms for spas and hotels in more than 40 countries. However, the Six Senses project was our first global uniform contract. It involved rolling out a single branded design concept across multiple territories. The uniform designs are inspired by the new brand colour palette of bright olive, pebble grey and pearl white. The colours are contemporary, practical, and reflect the values of the company. The Six Senses spa uniforms are made in Fashionizer’s exclusive organic CPF fabric. We designed and manufactured skirts, trousers, jackets and tunics for therapists and spa reception staff. We created male as well as female uniforms. The style of the jackets and unisex Thai trousers are influenced by Six Senses’ Thai origins.
“It was a challenging journey to have uniforms that ticked all our boxes and it was with great pleasure and excitement that we presented our new bespoke uniforms in 2014. Following the design process and wearer trial, much discussion and changes were made in order to come to the final version, which I was delighted with. Debbie and her team from Fashionizer have worked diligently and three years on, we are incredibly happy and most importantly, our staff are too! Both the look as well as the quality is fantastic. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Fashionizer for many years to come.” Anna Bjurstam, Vice President, Spas and Wellness Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.
